‘The King’s Parade’ are north-west London’s newest and exciting four piece band’ who cleverly combine bluesy arrangements with smooth soul inspired vocals to deliver a fresh sound reminiscent of 1960’s Rhythm and Blues (“NuTown”).

Certified as “London’s best street performers” by Boris Johnson during the ‘Back Busking’ campaign, they have performed at some of London’s most famous and prestigious venues. They supported JJ Grey and MOFRO on their German tour as well as performing at this years Bestival (Isle Of Wight) and the more local Cornbury festival.

The genesis of  ‘The King’s Parade’ began at The University of York in 2009 when Olly Corpe and Sam Rooney met at an open mic night, by 2012 the duo had grown, with the addition of drums and bass from Chris Brent and Tom English. With powerful vocals and impressive instrumentation ‘The King’s Parade’ received ‘rave’ feedback from their latest releases, which include Vagabond, New Roots and Belsize Lane.

They developed a reputation within the music scene with their fresh style which has been described as a mix of Pop and Soul with definite influences from the Motown era. After a move to London before the new year, the band are ready to make an impact on the British music scene with planned releases of new and interesting songs throughout the year.
