Hot off the heels of our successful production of Iolanthe, OUGSS are delighted to announce that the Trinity show  will be H.M.S. Pinafore! It’s set aboard the titular ship and involves a forbidden love affair, a great many secrets and misunderstandings, a smattering of double-entendres about seamen and a big big D, and some stirring patriotic music.

The Trinity show tends to be the most relaxed, so this is ideal for anyone who may not have appeared in Gilbert and Sullivan before (young and old) or who just wants to have a bit of fun!

The shows will take place before prelims, so freshers need not worry that the show will interfere with their work.

Auditions are taking place this week, on Thursday 7th March from 15:00 to 17:00 in the Carrodus Quad Music Room at Queen’s College, and on Friday 8th March from 13:00 to 15:00 in the Back Quad Music Room at Queen’s College. They will last roughly ten minutes. You will be asked to sing a song of your choice (it doesn’t have to be from Gilbert and Sullivan) and to read some dialogue that you will be given.

If you want to sign up for a slot, please fill in your name on this sheet:
